OROFER XT TOTAL contains Ferrous ascorbate, Folic Acid, Zinc and Methylcobalamin

WHAT OROFER XT TOTAL IS USED FOR?

OROFER XT TOTAL is used in the management of iron deficiency anemia, anaemia due to pregnancy and lactation, menorrhagia and post-surgery

FERROUS ASCORBATE:

It is a synthetic combination of iron and vitamin C. Vitamin C enhances the iron absorption, prevents its oxidation and maintains the levels of iron in the ferrous form, which is highly soluble than other forms of iron

METHYLCOBALAMIN:

It supports the synthesis and functions of nerve tissues and reduces the homocysteine levels in the body and prevents and nerve damage

FOLIC ACID OR VITAMIN B9:

It is necessary for the DNA and RNA synthesis and hemoglobin production. Folic acid plays a significant role during pregnancy and puberty, which is the rapid growth phase. This is one of the highly essential vitamins for fetal development and prevention of birth defects

ZINC:

It is an antioxidant that prevents oxidative stress in the cells. Zinc is also essential for the metabolism and absorption of iron

Have haemochromatosis, haemoglobinopathy
Have gastrointestinal diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal strictures
Have ischaemic heart disease
Have hereditary problems of galactose intolerance
Have folate dependent tumors
Have megaloblastic anemia

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking OROFER XT TOTAL

INTERACTIONS:
