WHAT IS HEPTIDIN 4MG?

HEPTIDIN 4MG contains Cyproheptadine which belongs to antiserotonergic agent

WHAT HEPTIDIN 4MG IS USED FOR?

It is used to treat,

Perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis
Vasomotor rhinitis
Allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods
Angioedema
Amelioration of allergic reactions to blood or plasma
Cold urticaria
Dermatographism

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS:

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

Are allergic (hypersensitive) to Cyproheptadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have a history of bronchial asthma
Have intraocular pressure
Have hyperthyroidism
Have cardiovascular disease
Have hypertension

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

HEPTIDIN 4MG is recommended in children. Consult your doctor before giving this medicine to your child

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking:

MAO inhibitors
Hypnotics, sedatives, tranquilizers, antianxiety agents

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
HEPTIDIN 4MG should be swallowed whole with a drink of water
Do not cut, crush or chew this medicine
The total daily dose for adults should not exceed 0.5 mg/kg/day

The therapeutic range is 4 to 20 mg a day, with most patients requiring 12 to 16 mg a day

If you take more HEPTIDIN 4MG

If you take more, contact your doctor

If you forgot to take HEPTIDIN 4MG

If you forget to take a dose, skip the missed dose. Take the next dose as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking HEPTIDIN 4MG

Do not stop taking your medicine unless your doctor has told you to

Protect from excess heat and light
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
