WHAT IS HANSEPRAN?
HANSEPRAN contains Clofazimine which belongs to a group of medicines called antibiotics
WHAT HANSEPRAN IS USED FOR?
It is used for the treatment of mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infection

Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
It should only be given to pregnant women if the potential benefits of treatment outweigh the potential risks to the child
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine as it may cause dizziness, drowsy or less alert than normal
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use, including prescription and non-prescription medicines and herbal supplements, such as
Phenytoin and fosphenytoin (used to treat epilepsy)
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
You should drink a full glass of water with each dose of this medicine
If you take more HANSEPRAN
If you have taken too much than your prescribed dose, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital straight away
If you forget to take HANSEPRAN
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, then continue your treatment as before
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose
If you stop taking HANSEPRAN
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
SIDE EFFECT OF HANSEPRAN 100MG:
SERIOUS
• Increase in liver enzymes causes severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, black or black tarry stools, yellow eyes
COMMON
• Stomach upset and diarrhoea
RARE
• Liver damage
STORAGE:
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
