WHAT IS ERGOLIN 0.125MG?

ERGOLIN 0.125MG contains Methylergometrine which is a semi-synthetic ergot alkaloid

WHAT ERGOLIN 0.125MG IS USED FOR?

It is used for:

The prevention and control of postpartum haemorrhage
Routine management of uterine atony, hemorrhage and subinvolution of the uterus
Control of uterine hemorrhage in the second stage of labor following delivery of the anterior shoulder

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS:

Talk to your Doctor if you:

Are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have hypertension
Have toxemia
Have coronary artery disease
Have sepsis
Have obliterative vascular disease
Have impaired hepatic or renal function

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, or breastfeeding think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Drugs used to treat infections
Drugs used to treat HIV, AIDS
Dihydroergotamine, ergotamine (used to treat migraine, headache)
Nefazodone, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine (used to treat depression)
Zileuton (used to treat asthma)
Rifampicin (used to treat tuberculosis)
Drugs used to treat heart conditions
Halothane, methoxyflurane (used as anesthetics)
Antianginal drugs (used to treat angina)
Vasoconstrictors (used to treat blood pressure)
Prostaglandins (used to treat injury, infection)

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you

If you take more ERGOLIN 0.125MG

If you take too much of this medicine, contact your contact or go to nearest hospital

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, oliguria, abdominal pain, numbness, tingling of the extremities, rise in blood pressure, hypotension, respiratory depression, hypothermia, convulsions

If you forget to take ERGOLIN 0.125MG

If you forget to take a dose of this medicine take it as soon as possible, then just carry on with the regular times you take your medication. If you remember your missed dose close to the time for your next dose, do not take the missed dose

If you stop taking ERGOLIN 0.125MG

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so

SIDE EFFECTS OF ERGOLIN 0.125MG:

As directed by the physcian.
