INTRODUCTION

COGNIDEP 5 contains Donepezil which belongs to a group of medicines called acetyl cholinesterase inhibitors. It is used to treat the symptoms of dementia in people diagnosed as having mild and moderately severe Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disorder that causes brain cells to degenerate and die. Dementia is continuous decline in thinking, behavioral and social skills that disrupts a person’s ability to function independently. The symptoms include increasing memory loss, confusion and behavioral changes. As a result, patients with Alzheimer’s disease find it more difficult to carry out their normal daily activities.
