WHAT IS CLINMISKIN?

CLINMISKIN contains Clindamycin. Clindamycin is in a class of medications called lincomycin antibiotics. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of bacteria that cause acne and by decreasing swelling. Acne is the common cause of spots. Small sebaceous glands lie just under your skin surface and make an oil (sebum) that keeps your skin supple and smooth. Tiny pores on your skin allow the sebum to come on to the surface of your skin. In acne, some of these pores become blocked, causing inflamed spots.

Always apply this solution exactly as your doctor has told you. Do not use skin products near the eyes, nose, or mouth. If you do get any in your eyes rinse out with plenty of cool tap water. Before applying this medicine, thoroughly wash the affected areas with warm water and soap, rinse well, and pat dry. When applying the medicine, use enough to cover the affected area lightly. You should apply the medicine to the whole area usually affected by acne, not just to the pimples themselves. This will help keep new pimples from breaking out. You should avoid washing the acne-affected areas too often. This may dry your skin and make your acne worse.

CLINMISKIN should not be used by children under the age of 12 years. Commom side effects of this medicine are redness of the skin, skin burning, itchy skin.

WHAT CLINMISKIN IS USED FOR?

CLINMISKIN is used to treat mild to moderate acne(spots). This solution spreads easily so covers maximum areas.
It may also help to reduce the redness of the spots on the skin

Tell your healthcare provider if you are using any other topical preparations such as cream, ointment, gel

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always apply CLINMISKIN exactly as your doctor has told you
It is intended for use on the skin
You should use this solution twice a day. Wash as normal, rinse well and pat your skin dry
Apply a small amount of solution in a thin layer to the whole of the area where you usually get the spots
It is important to replace the cap after you have used this medicine
