WHAT IS BUSARLIN 7MG?

BUSARLIN 7MG contains Buserelin which belongs to a group of medicines called gonadotropin releasing hormone analogues

WHAT BUSARLIN 7MG IS USED FOR?

It is used to treat infertility

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS:

Talk to your Doctor if you:

Are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have abnormal menstrual bleeding
Have depression
Have diabetes
Have metabolic bone disease or have additional risk factors for osteoporosis such as chronic alcohol abuse, smoking, a family history of osteoporosis
Have polycystic ovarian disease
Have heart problems

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

This medicine may be harmful to the developing baby. Women must have a pregnancy test to make sure they are not pregnant before being given this medicine
Do not breastfeed small amounts may pass into mother?s milk
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

DRIVING & USING MACHINES

Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine as it may cause dizzy, drowsy or have blurred eyesight

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Medicines for diabetes
Drugs used to treat heart rhythm problems
Methadone (used for pain relief)
Moxifloxacin (used to treat infections)
Antipsychotics (used for serious mental illnesses)

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

BUSARLIN 7MG will be given underneath the skin (subcutaneous injection) by a doctor or nurse

If you receive more BUSARLIN 7MG

It is unlikely that your doctor or nurse will give you too much of this medicine
Symptoms of overdose: feel weak, nervous, dizzy, sick, headache, hot flushes, stomach pain, swelling of the legs and breast pain, bleeding or hardening of the skin at the site of injection

SIDE EFFECTS OF BUSARLIN 7MG:

SERIOUS

• Allergic reactions: rash, swallowing or breathing problems, swelling of your lips, face, throat or tongue pain or a skin rash in the area you were injected
• Ovarian hyperstimulation: diarrhoea, pain, swelling or a feeling of tension in your stomach, feeling sick, have gained weight, are having difficulty breathing or are short of breath or are passing less urine
• Thrombocytopenia: bruise easily
• Infections such as: fever, sore throat or mouth ulcers, leucopenia
• Headaches and eyesight problems
• Tumors on the pituitary gland
• High blood pressure
• Menopausal symptoms: hot flushes, increased sweating, dry vagina, painful sexual intercourse or loss of sex drive (libido), bleeding or spotting
• Osteoporosis: bone or muscle discomfort such as shoulder pain or stiffness
• Diabetes: lowered tolerance to glucose
• Paranesthesia: unusual skin sensations such as numbness, tingling, pricking, burning or creeping on the skin, pins and needles (usually in the arms and legs)
• Hearing problems like ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
• Very fast, uneven or forceful heartbeat (palpitations)
• Facial swelling (puffiness) due to water retention which may also cause swollen arms or legs
• Dry skin or acne, splitting of nails
• Hair grows more than normal (including body and facial hair), hair loss (including body or facial hair)
• Vaginal discharge, changes in breast size, breast tenderness or milk production
• Changes in the level of liver enzymes
