AGIVOG M 0.2MG contains Metformin and Voglibose which controls blood sugar levels with diabetes called ?type 2 diabetes mellitus?
AGIVOG M 0.2MG inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals
WHAT AGIVOG M 0.2MG IS USED FOR?
AGIVOG M 0.2MG works by lowering the amount of sugar made by your body by improving the levels and effects of insulin after a meal
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
TALK TO DOCTOR
Talk to your doctor before taking AGIVOG M 0.2MG, if you:
Are allergic to Metformin and Voglibose or to any of its ingredients
Have kidney or heart problems
Suffer from diabetic ketoacidosis
Drink a lot of alcohol
Have inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulcerations or partial intestinal obstructions and patients being predisposed to intestinal obstruction
Have gastro-intestinal disorders
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
AGIVOG M 0.2MG should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding and may pass into breast milk
Consult your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
Avoid driving and using machines since AGIVOG M 0.2MG may affect your ability to drive or use machines
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements, any other antidiabetic drug or insulin
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Take AGIVOG M 0.2MG exactly as prescribed
Your doctor will usually start you on a low dose and increase your dose slowly to control your blood sugar levels
Do not change your dose unless told to do so by your doctor
Swallow the tablets
Never crush or chew the tablet
If you take more AGIVOG M 0.2MG
If you take too much AGIVOG M 0.2MG or overdose, call your doctor right away
If you forget to take AGIVOG M 0.2MG
If you miss a dose of AGIVOG M 0.2MG resume dosing according to schedule
If you stop taking AGIVOG M 0.2MG
Do not stop taking this tablet before consulting your doctor
SIDE EFFECTS OF AGIVOG M 0.2MG:
SERIOUS
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Metformin
• Metformin can cause a rare, but serious condition, called lactic acidosis where there is a buildup of an acid in the blood that can cause death
COMMON
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

• Diarrhea, nausea, and upset stomach
Voglibose
• Soft stools or diarrhoea, flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain or discomfort, abdominal fullness and nausea
• Rise in liver enzymes
• Nausea vomiting, dizziness
• Endocrine and/or metabolic disorders
RARE
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Metformin
• Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
STORAGE:
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
